Jaguar IRS Rear Alxe Jacking System

Anyone who has fitted a Jaguar rear axle will know how top heavy and difficult it is. I decided to make a jacking system. Using 2 standard car jacks welded to a reinforced diff base plate and mounted on a base and sled system.

Now I can lower and refit the axle on my own. It used to take 3 of us!

The 2 jacks allow height adjustment of each side. The base has been tilted to match the angle of the body during removal and fitting

I would not say it was a joy to remove the rear end but it is so much easier and not a job I now dred!

Jaguar IRS Alloy Diff Plate

Since I had used the base plate to make the platform. I made a replacement out of alloy.
